Secret Garden pop-up cinema at Grove Hotel by Everyman
If you haven’t heard of the Grove hotel, it’s a luxury five-star country estate and retreat set in 300 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside.
Growing up just minutes away, I have been visiting the beautiful grounds all my life. Before it was lovingly restored, it was the former home of the Earls of Clarendon, with a rich history dating back to the 1500s.
At the Grove hotel you can find 215 luxurious guestrooms, an award-winning Sequoia spa, a championship golf course, unique restaurants, an original Walled Garden which is home to a Kitchen Garden, a heated outdoor pool and ‘beach’ area, plus a wide selection of meeting and event spaces.
This summer from 15th July – 4th Sept the Grove is welcoming back everyone’s favourite outdoor cinema by Everyman, for a series of unforgettable outdoor film screenings where hotel guests or diners in The Grove’s restaurants can enjoy a luxury cinematic experience in the enchanting Walled Garden with film highlights including The Greatest Showman, Fantastic Mr Fox and Moulin Rouge.
You can relax under the stars with bean bags, delicious snacks and beverages, and enjoy an array of new releases, family favourites and cult classics perfect for a summer evening.
The space has been fabulously designed by Josephine Hicks, a painter and designer, who is best known for her popular botanical murals, inspired by the connection between nature and biodiversity in urban spaces. With twinkling lights as the sun begins to set and climbing plants adorning the space, guests will make their way into a charming Secret Garden for a night of cinematic magic.
It’s not just popcorn that awaits movie aficionados at The Grove, for those looking to tuck into delicious dishes, guests can enjoy lunches and dinners at The Glasshouse, The Stables or Verde Kitchen, the pop-up restaurant in The Potting Shed, where dishes are inspired by Italian cuisine, available exclusively this summer.
This summer there really is no better way to make the most of the long evenings than amidst the beauty of the Secret Garden at The Grove with Everyman.
