Harpenden Fireworks
Fireworks, funfair, food stalls and a bar make for a great family event. Park and ride from outside Chef Peking in the town centre.

When: Sunday 5th November, gates open 16:00, display starts 18:00.
Tickets: £5 per child under 16. £10 per adult. £30 per family (2 adults and up to 4 children under 16)
About: Harpenden Rugby Club was founded in 1919 facilitating the game of rugby for men, women, boys and girls of all ages.
KWS LOW-BANG FIREWORKS NIGHT
Where: Katherine Warington School, Lower Luton Road, Harpenden, AL5 5FH
When: Fri 3rd November 2023 at 7pm (Gates open at 6pm Low Bang Firework at 7pm)
About: By buying tickets for the KWS fireworks, you can also help a local primary school in Harpenden, High Beeches, to raise some much-needed funds. It costs you nothing extra! Just type BEECHES in the coupon box and Friends of High Beeches (registered charity) will get a small percentage back. Fireworks and a charitable donation all in one!

There’s a Monster in Your Show
‘There’s a Monster in Your Show’ is a musical, interactive play for kids based on the popular children’s ‘Who’s in Your Book?’ series by Tom Fletcher.

About: The Eric Morecambe Centre was opened in a brand-new facility in 2021 in Harpenden and is a luxurious culture and entertainment centre.

Harpenden Christmas Carnival
The Carnival will feature all the traditional features such as a Santa's Grotto, food stalls, outdoor bars, the market, entertainment, the traditional procession and, of course, the spectacular Christmas Lights Switch On at 5.00pm.

Harpenden Sustainability Market
A range of eco-focused and sustainable traders will be displaying their wares and encouraging us all to re-use, repair and use recycled products.

Choral Discoveries: Found in Translation - Lea Singers
The Lea Singers, in tribute to Harpenden’s twinned towns Alzey and Cosne-sur-Loire, are singing songs in languages other than the composers mother tongue including Händel’s Zadok the Priest and Mäntyjärvi’s Four Shakespeare Songs.

About: The Lea Singers are a chamber choir of 30 members, based in Harpenden who have been performing for over 60 years.
Wheathampstead Lights Up and Christmas Event
The village hosts their annual switching on of their Christmas lights with plenty of fun to be had.
Where: Crinkle Crankle Garden, Wheathampstead, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL4 8FJ and Wheathampsted High Street, St Albans, Hertfordshire.
When: Thursday 23rd November, at the Crinkle Crankle garden from 16:00-20:00 and on the high street 17:30-20:00

About: Wheathampstead Parish Council is putting on an extravaganza to launch the Christmas season with the switching on off the lights, market stalls, fairground rides, carols and Santa’s grotto.
Thompson’s Gallery
Canadian artist Michael Adamson is returning to Thompson’s Gallery in Harpenden with his highly anticipated new works. He is artist who paints textured, abstract art pieces using bright oils.

About: Thompson’s Galleries was established in 1982 by John and Sue Thompson and is now run by their daughter Megan. The Harpenden branch is their third gallery and opened in 2021.
Batford Christmas lights
The switching of the Christmas lights with carols, refreshments, entertainment and craft activities put on by the Harpenden town council.

Remembrance Day Parade
A Remembrance Day Parade in Harpenden in honour of the Armed Forces and all lives lost, run by Harpenden Town Council in partnership with the Royal British Legion.
Where: War Memorial, Church Green, Harpenden, Hertfordshire, AL5 2TP
When: Sun 12th November. Parade 10:35am and service at 10:50.

About: The Royal British Legion are the armed forces’ charity which has raised funds, support and awareness for ex-serving personnel since 1921.
Harpenden Farmer’s Market
Come down to enjoy everything from meats to preserves, bakery treats to liqueurs!
