About: The Engineer was so named when the railway from London to Bedford was built in 1868. The beer garden has sheltered picnic tables.

The George
  
The firm favourite of a trio of roasts, is served with prune & brandy stuffing and Cumberland pigs in blankets.

About: The George is modern with lovely fresh decor, smack-bang in the heart of Harpenden. It has a large garden room, some outdoor terrace seating on the high-street, a seasonal menu and tempting cocktails on offer.

The Harpenden Arms 
The nut roast comes with Brazil, cashew & hazelnuts and the chicken has pork, apricot & chestnut stuffing.

About: The pub has just had a fresh revamp and opened its doors again on the 12th October 2023. In a prime location on the high street, it’s a great cosy spot with lovely décor.

About: The site dates back to the 1860s and has been a pub since 1974. Part of the Greene King network, it is a traditional pub with fresh and modern decorative touches.

The Old Bell 
A trio of roasts and Woodland Mushroom Bourguignon Wellington makes this place a stand-out choice for a Sunday roast.

About: A Grade II listed, 18th century former farmhouse that first opened as a pub in 1735.
