Summer Wine Tasting Experience
We had the absolute pleasure of attending our member Cellar Door Wines ‘Summer Wine Tasting Experience’ which was a ticketed event located at their new branch in the beautiful Stable Yard at Hatfield House, Hertfordshire.
On offer were over 30 summer themed wines available to taste including some of the wineries below:
Folc – Kent
Lyme Bay – Devon
Vinos Lof – Bierzo, Spain
Laureatus Rias Baixas, Spain
Can Virgili – Catalunya, Spain
Pizzorno Family Wines – Uruguay
Cillar di Silos – Ribera del Duero, Spain
Hartenberg Estate – Stellenbosch, South Africa
Along with being spoilt with delicious wine, tickets also included snacks and an authentic Vegetarian Spanish Paella small plate from Chef Francesc Condal which paired perfectly.
Guests were also offered a twilight tour of the old palace - the childhood home of Elizabeth I, by the knowledgeable and passionate guide team of Hatfield House, which was fabulous and a wonderful compliment to the evening.
We really enjoyed the whole evening. The location is stunning, we met some lovely people and as always, learnt so much about the history of wine from the producers.
If you haven’t already, we can highly recommend visiting their new branch at Hatfield house (which has slotted in harmoniously with the character of the location) and any of their future wine tasting events - they really are not to be missed and can guarantee a wonderful evening for all.
