The Grove Unveils Walled Garden Makeover, Wisteria and Dingle Cottages & Summer Programming
The Grove is a five-star hotel nestled in a picturesque 300 acres. It is home to a luxurious spa, four restaurants and a championship golf course, and luckily for us, is only a short drive away!
This summer, they have an incredible range of things on offer for everyone. From hot air balloon rides, outdoor movie nights in their walled garden, spa escapes, a huge array of dining options including one of the world’s finest buffets, and much more. So get ready for unforgettable summer experiences. We have compiled a list below of some of the things available at The Grove this summer.

The Grove’s Walled Garden will open its gates with a makeover conceptualised by British interior design studio Martin Hulbert Design. Reopening on 3 April, the space will feature a revamped heated outdoor pool, new look Ralph’s Beach with day beds, outdoor spa treatment area and upgraded facilities for families, including an enhanced children’s pool and play area. Alongside seasonal dining experiences and completely rebuilt Jemima’s Kitchen Garden, the Walled Garden will also offer two versatile new private hire event spaces. Accessible not only to hotel guests and Walled Garden members but now also to spa day visitors, this redesigned area promises a new level of playfulness and relaxation.
Dine
Feast On Cloud 9
24 May will see the return of Feast on Cloud 9, the immersive hot air balloon dining experience, which will run until 31 August. New for this year, the experience introduces a whimsical fairground theme and can be booked for afternoon tea and dinner services for up to six guests per balloon. Continuing the theme, guests are invited to guess the flavour of savoury popcorn to enjoy with a welcome drink before enjoying a choice of beef or artichoke, spinach and tomato wellington. For dessert, fortune teller inspired toffee apple doughnuts and coconut shy roasted coconut mousse and chocolate cream with coconut chiffon sponge await. Info here
Madhu’s At The Grove
New Delhi meets The Grove at Madhu’s who are famous for their Indian banquets. Packed with aromatic spices, the renowned banqueting specialists serve unforgettable feasts in a stunning setting. Info here.
The Glasshouse
Enjoy one of the world’s finest buffets. Move between different food stations – and countries – as their chefs prepare your meal right in front of you. What sounds better than that? Info here.
The Stables
A modern take on Great British Classics, made with seasonal British produce and ingredients grown not far from your table. There à la carte restaurant comes complete with a spacious outdoor terrace, overlooking the golf course. Their hearty menu serves Great British Classics redefined, with ingredients picked from Jemima’s Kitchen Garden. Info here.
The Lounges
Promising a relaxed yet intimate atmosphere, take a seat in the Lounges for coffee, light bites or an expertly crafted selection of Asian-inspired dishes designed to delight the eye and palette. Soups, sandwiches and salads are available between 12pm – 9pm and sushi is available from 5.30pm – 9pm. Info here.
Skewd
Returning for its second year, Skewd at The Grove will open its doors on 1 April. Skewd, an esteemed name in the UK's culinary scene, is a multi-award winning North London restaurant renowned for its dedication to the reinvention of traditional Turkish cuisine. Located within the Potting Shed in the Walled Garden, the summer takeover brings an innovative take on Anatolian cuisine, cooked over an open fire. Guests can expect a fusion of Turkish, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes, crafted with locally sourced ingredients and infused with bold flavours and spices as well as a line up of DJs in residence on Friday and Saturday nights from 7.30pm to 11pm. Laurent Perrier terrace and signature spa days at Sequoia Spa
Throughout the summer Sequoia Spa at The Grove welcomes guests to experience the Sequoia Signature Massage and Laurent Perrier spa terrace. The deeply restorative full-body treatment has been carefully designed to enhance wellbeing through a combination of Western and Eastern massage techniques, including Swedish massage, shiatsu and Ancient Thai healing. Organic Bamford oil blends gently help the body release toxin build up and support the immune system to release tension. Info here

Sequoia Spa
If you’re going to take time out, do it properly. At Sequoia Spa, you’ll find a statement pool like no other, tiled in black mosaics. Step into a Jacuzzi the size of a small pool itself, then book a massage or facial in one of their 18 treatment rooms. This is the ultimate place to relax, rejuvenate and recharge. The Grove are proud to announce they secured the 8th spot in Condé Nast Traveller’s 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards among the top 15 spa hotels in the UK. Info here.
Golf At The Grove
The Grove is home to one of the UK’s most prestigious golf courses and has recently been placed as the number 1 Golf Resort in England and 71st globally in Top 100 World Resorts by the Golf World Rankings. Their award-winning course, has welcomed many greats of the game, including Tiger Woods who won the World Golf Championship here in 2006. Info here.
Everyman Cinema
From 23 July, guests are invited to relax on bean bags, with snacks and beverages, and enjoy an array of new releases and family favourites at Everyman In The Garden. This year’s theme will be conceptualised by renowned British Nigerian multidisciplinary artist, designer and ‘architect of Joy’ Yinka Ilori MBE, whose bold and vibrant visual language draws on his dual heritage to convey new narratives and bring communities together. There will be a series of special live event screenings with some curated by Ilori, and some with live music and fireworks. Open weekly from Wednesday to Sunday, hotel guests can enjoy a unique cinematic experience in the enchanting Walled Garden until 7th September. Tickets can also be purchased with restaurant dining packages via The Grove’s website from 1 May.
For The little ones
Anouska’s Kids Club
Nestled behind the Walled Garden is The Grove’s OFSTED-registered kids’ club – a hub of adventure and entertainment for children aged 2-9. It’s the perfect option for parents who would like to slip off for a few hours to themselves. From arts and crafts and interactive games, to story times, role playing and Lego building, fun and learning is endless. As well as a secure, private garden and play park, we also have a full-spec kitchen on-site where our team prepare fresh, healthy snacks for hungry tummies. Info here.
Woodland Hawking
Join Grant from Woodland Hawking and get up close and personal with spectacular birds of prey. Meet the Birds of Prey and Falconry Displays are available on selected dates during the school holidays. Private hawking walks are available daily for residents and non-residents alike.
Archery
Pick up a bow and show Robin Hood what you’re made of with our interactive archery sessions led by our Activities team in our woodlands. If it’s a particularly muddy day, we’ve got Hunter boots available to borrow.
Axe Throwing
Aim for the bullseye! Axe throwing sessions are open to hotel residents, non-residents and corporate groups in our woodlands.
Sporting Camps
August 2025 will see the return of two much-loved sporting camps in the form of Saracens rugby camp (18 - 20 August) and Football Escapes (27 - 29 May and 27 - 29 August) as well as a new addition in JagTag, the fast-paced, non-contact version of American Football from 12-14th August. Led by expert coaches from the Jacksonville Jaguars, a professional team based in Florida, the camp promises a packed itinerary incorporating football skills, flag football games and drills. Beyond the action on the field, children aged 8-16 can expect giveaways and guest appearances from players.

Wisteria Cottage & Dingle Cottage
Available to book from 2 June, The Grove introduces two new self-contained cottages brought to life by Martin Hulbert Design. These expansive, ultra-luxury abodes within The Grove’s 300 acre estate span two stories with living, kitchen and dining spaces and offer unparalleled privacy and serenity whilst also affording access to the resort’s extensive guest facilities. Ideal for multi-generational trips, groups of friends and long-stay visitors, three-bedroom Wisteria Cottage and two-bedroom Dingle Cottage have a three-night minimum stay and come with the luxury of no set arrival and check out time, private parking, a private buggy and private jacuzzi in the garden. A fully stocked pantry features a selection of freshly baked breads, milks, free-range eggs, assorted farmhouse cheeses, condiments, herbs and spices, Nespresso and high organic loose-leaf teas, handmade chocolates, truffle nuts and gourmet crackers.
