Part-Time Housekeeper / Assistant Position in Harpenden

We’re looking for a reliable, proactive and friendly Housekeeper / Assistant to help keep a private family home in Harpenden running smoothly.

This role would suit someone who takes ownership, notices what needs doing, and is happy working independently to keep the home clean, organised and ready for family visits and overnight stays.

The role includes:

  • General housekeeping and keeping the home tidy and well organised

  • Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care

  • Simple meal prep / light cooking

  • Grocery shopping and household top-ups

  • Running local errands

  • Keeping cupboards, storage areas and household systems in good order

  • Light household and lifestyle admin support

We’re looking for someone discreet, dependable, organised and comfortable working on their own initiative. Previous private household experience would be ideal. A full UK driving licence and own transport would be helpful. 

This is a self-employed position. You will operate as an independent contractor, responsible for your own tax and National Insurance.

Start asap, subject to references and a clean DBS check.
