Local Events & Meet Ups

Whatever your interests and passions may be, from exercise and reading to networking and skill developing, We Are Harpenden - along with our members - are offering local events that will be the place for you to come and make new friends, meet like-minded people, learn new skills, and connect with other locals over shared interests.

We are excited to share that we have launched our first ‘We Are Meetups’ group - ‘We Are Mums’ - a wonderful place for mums and mums to be to meet and socialise with their little ones. Please see the list of local events below.

Movie nights are back at Rothamsted Conference Centre

Every month, Rothamsted turn their modern and comfortable auditorium into a cinema for the evening, showing a selection of films from classics to the latest releases. Their café and licensed bar are open for refreshments during the show.

On 26th November they will be showing ‘Official Secrets’.

Tickets are £10 for Adults and £6 for Under 16s.

Coronavirus and social distancing
Rothamsted are proud to have earnt the industry standard ‘We’re Good to Go’ from Visit Britain.  It means they have implemented the Government’s COVID-19 guidance, understand the guidance from Public Health England and have a COVID-19 Risk Assessment in place.

  • Our staff wear PPE at all times

  • All visitors to the conference centre are always required to wear face coverings, unless seated for eating or drinking

  • Hand sanitiser stations are placed throughout the venue

  • We have implemented a robust cleaning regime ensuring high touch points are cleaned after every use and rooms are cleaned down after each occupancy

  • We have an automated entry and exit point for conference centre and café users, and a large, well-ventilated plaza area where our reception is based

  • We ensure staggered arrival, minimal cross over with other groups and minimal interaction with staff

Free parking
Follow the signs to Rothamsted Conference Centre, and continue to our visitors parking area. Enter the building from the front of the Conference Centre where their friendly staff will direct you.
