Harpenden Summer Carnival

The 58th Summer Carnival will take place on Saturday 7th June, 12-6pm. This exciting event is always a well-supported community occasion, welcoming thousands of people to Harpenden’s vibrant Town Centre and Common.

Highlights this year include family entertainment by award winning Cha Char Chimps, world famous circus performer Richard Filby and hooptastic hooler-hooper Angie Mack. The impressive Music Stage programme includes current hits, rock, pop, indie and original compositions as well as popular crowd pleasers from Sam Lewis, Threefold, Maida Vaies and The Carnegies.

Funfair rides, inflatables, a bubble performer, archery, a climbing wall and so much more will be open throughout the day as well as a variety of exciting market stalls.

Food stalls this year include delicious BBQs, street food from around the world from Greek mezze to South African, vegan delights, smash burgers, pizza and so much more. Outdoor bars, situated by the Performance area and Stage, will complete the day. Back by popular demand frozen cocktails will be served!

The Carnival is a huge fundraising event for worthwhile charities which this year includes the Town Mayor’s chosen charities and others selected by the Round Table who also play a key role. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, stallholders, participants and visitors, money raised over the years has supported countless great causes.

Along side the Carnival, Art on the Common will be situated on Harpenden Common outside Park Hall from 10-5pm. This is a popular event in support of Cancer Research and showcases over 60 local artists. The perfect chance to meet the artists and purchase pieces from a range of genres.
